Purple dots ....

OMG .... I had a play around with the template and now can't understand from the tutorial on how to get back to a less dotty background ..... in fact I am having trouble doing anything other than creating a  new blog.  Not loving the changes to the blogspot website!! Ok so I am a little technically challenged ..... but still!

Easter Antics

Happy Easter everyone!
We had a great day today with the Knights who came over for food and chocolate, and there was plenty of both. Damage control tomorrow.

James was particularly cute today, and loved the Easter hat that Toby wore when he was in Prep (a few years ago now!)

Ella also tried it out for size and looked equally as cute

It was then time for the Easter Egg Hunt!! The kids split into two teams for maximum efficiency ....
Toby and Liam priming themselves for the search

James was hot off the mark and quickly found the first egg ...

followed closely by another.

Meanwhile Toby and Liam hit the roundabout garden and got a pretty good haul from there

Teamwork was essential and the boys worked together well

On the other side of the house there were more to find ...

all except this one that went blissfully unnoticed until I was spotted photographing it!

Toby and Liam checking out their haul

Group photo time while the parents did some quick thinking on how to stop the kids devouring 27 eggs between them ...

Ange was the "Easter Mummy" according to James!

And this is what happens when your birthday falls on Easter ... the bunnies come out to play soccer on your birthday cake! Happy Birthday for Tuesday Tobes.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their Easter break!

Sophie

Sophie has been a busy little bee lately with all her work at school, new pieces to learn on the cello and her favourite thing of all ... netball! It is her first year in a club (she usually plays at school) and she just loves it, especially as her friends are in her team as well. Some photos of the last week ...

Cello with attitude

First game of the season with Vipers netball - awesome!

Much nervous excitement all round.
They played a great game and Sophie did really well.
Looking forward to the next game in a weeks time.

Sunday lunch at the Masons

It has been a while between meals so we thought it was high time we lunched with the Knights again. It was a great day - lots of food and lots of catching up on the last couple of months. Yep, it's been that long!

The boys contemplating their next move ...

You lookin' at me Willis??

James!

The boys ...

The girls ...

Ella and her Uncle Tricky

Me and Ange. We are usually the ones taking the photos so thought one together would be in order.

Sophie goes to NZ

Sophie left this morning with Linda, to fly out to NZ for a couple of weeks. She is then flying back on her own (as an unaccompanied minor and the airline assures me they look after the kids VERY well)

This photo has nothing at all to do with anything, but I thought it was funny. It was the sight that greeted me when I opened the bathroom door. Apparently it was too noisy everywhere else in the house to talk to her best friend on skype! And yes, that would be Rick gym gear she is wearing.

Waiting at the airport this morning

Again

Getting ready to go

Nervous excitement building

Bye Soph! See you in a couple of weeks.

Boxing Day BBQ with the Knights

We caught up with the Knights on Boxing Day and it was a lovely relaxed day. Lots of leftovers from our respective Christmas dinners followed by some more present opening and a big swim. Relaxed and laid back, just what we needed.

With three young boys there was no doubt that soccer would be played

Even Ella got in on the action to give Linda a bit of female support (isn't she cute!)

Me and Ella. Was very hot ....hmm or it could have been the champagne that made me glow....

The boys just 'happening' past the Christmas tree ...

More presents!

Liam loves Star Wars and I was delighted to see his face when he opened this up

That's James behind that big box!

Ella watched all the proceedings from the table - best view in the house
